Central Church has a long standing tradition of offering many and varied programs for the children and youth of our church. We have a full range of Sunday Church School opportunities for children of all ages from birth through Senior High. Our Sunday School meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.

We have mid-week youth gathering for young people, Middle-High and Senior High age each Wednesday evening. Central Church also has a very energetic and lovable youth director in our own David Kohler. David directs our Youth Program which includes the Wednesday night weekly gatherings. The Youth also participate in Missouri Mid-South Conference events and has attended our UCC National Youth Gathering. We have been also involved with the Central Area UCC Youth which involves some of our UCC Churches in Central Missouri. The Youth also take an annual mission trip and a ski trip to Colorado. They serve several dinners each year for our church as a service project and to earn extra money for their various projects.

Central Church also hasa 280 acre farm that is being developed for youth and families. A new lake was just built last  spring in 2007!   In addition we  have a pavilion for church events and picnics at the farm. Our youth director was even married at the “Sanders Farm”.

Central Church also has wonderful facilities for youth programming within our church building. A modern youth room with all the games, etc even air hockey, a big screen T.V. couches which all creates an atmosphere of welcome for our young people. We also have full size gym for many recreational activities including basketball and volleyball.

Midweek Gathering each Wednesday in the gym and youth room 6:30 p.m. each week from middle and senior high youth.

2009 Mission Trip!  This event is scheduled for June 14, 2009, in Denver, Colorado.  Youth who have completed 6th grade and up are eligible to attend.  Contact David Kohler for more information.

Central Church youth are also currently working on leading our worship service on February 22, 2009 in what is know our as Youth Sunday.  Join us for worship that day and enjoy hearing and seeing our young people lead worship and demonstrate the depth of their faith.
