The Ministry of Music has been a deeply enriching  program in our church.  From the years of Carl E. Burkel to the present, our worship services are blessed with the rich and inspirational sounds of our senior  choir, Junior and Bell Choirs.

The Senior Choir is under the director of Dr. Ruth Robertson who is also a voice professor at Lincoln University here in Jefferson City.  We sing three of four Sundays each month, August through June of each program year.  The Senior Choir also sings in our lovely Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, the six mid-week services during Lent and for Good Friday Night and Easter Morning.   The repertoire is mostly classical sacred but we do incorporate some other types of choral music such as ethnic, spirituals, and contemporary classical works.   The Senior Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings each week August through June and they being at 7:00 p.m. and run generally until 8:30 p.m.

The Junior Choir is for children ages six  up through the eighth grade.  Our Jurnio Choir sings the last Sunday of each month September through May and on Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. We are happy to announce that we have just hired Angie Hulsey as our new Junior Choir Director.  Angie will hold rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Confirmation Room and again on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until 10:20 in the Confirmation room for those who cannot make rehearsals on Wednesday evening.  We are also happy to announce that Peter Hanson a Senior High Youth from Central Church will be the accompanist.  All children are invited and encouraged to join Angie and the newly formed Junior Choir!

 The Bell Choir is under the director of Rene Miserez.  Our Bell Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 until 7:00 p.m.   The Bell Choir plays on occasion throughout the program year, September through May.
